About
Tags: metaThis is a website.
It's hosted on a computer and hopefully reachable over the internet.
I've made some websites before but this one is the first one I actually put out online, all previous attempts went something like this
- make a design on paper
- start implementing a basic mockup on localhost
- realize the design can be improved
- discard all I had already implemented because I dislike useless baggage code
- goto 1
The ones that did manage to escape pitfall 1 were shortly met with pitfall 2
- realize I have no content for my empty website
- the only recent project that comes to mind I could write about is the website
- get locked because there is nothing to write about of a website with no content and not yet hosted anywhere
- goto 1, or fall back to pitfall 1 if I realize the website wasn't actually that great
And the only previous attempt that escaped pitfall 2 met pitfall 3, the most brutal of them all
- domains cost money
- hosting on IPv4 costs money(or privacy)
- I don't have money
This present one was born out of the fact that I got some money in a really funny way, and I bought the domain before even having a website planned because I knew that if I waited till I had something in mind the whole thing was going to repeat over and over again.
And that is about it, I reused some parts of the failed attempts and put a website up "fast" as to not let my money go to waste, and fast is quoted because after the initial push and the first few blogposts I haven't really done much, I do have some plans but I've never been too fast to write, code or otherwise so they will probably have to wait
If you're interested about the internals of the website itself you can read about that here but it's unfinished.
